People-first spotlight: Jason Koroluk

Our people are what make us who we are, and we look forward to sharing their stories with you. This month we shine the spotlight on Jason Koroluk, Manager, Customer Service, Construction, who has been with Concert for nearly 20 years.

In your own words, please describe your role:

I work towards constantly improving the delivery of our construction projects and our warranty service to customers, and I support my team, ensuring they have the ability and resources to achieve our goals.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the Concert team?

If someone was considering joining the Concert team, I would tell them to go for it!  Concert is a fantastic company that supports and develops everyone, within an inclusive team environment.

When I first joined Concert’s construction department as a Customer Service Representative in 2003, I was a red seal carpenter who was a little rough around the edges. I didn’t naturally feel at ease in the corporate environment, but Concert welcomed me and made me feel comfortable and supported.

Over the years, Concert has helped me to become more polished and has provided me with the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and career advancement. Although the company has grown over the years, Concert still maintains a friendly, family atmosphere.

How do Concert’s values and mission align with your personal values?

I certainly am proud to be part of the Concert family. The core values that Concert stands for align with mine and allow me to perform my role without any sense of compromise.

At Concert, maintaining the highest standard is the baseline, and the efforts to achieve this are fully supported by management. The integrity that we demonstrate on a daily basis is why we have a high level of respect and trust with both customers and within our industry.

What is your favourite memory of your time with Concert?

There have been so many fantastic memories over the years that it’s tough to narrow it down. If I had to choose just one, it would have to be when I was lucky enough to attend the company fishing trip to Pennask Lake in my first few years with Concert. Fly fishing, great food and the opportunity to connect with colleagues from different departments in a beautiful environment is a very special memory.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

My favorite activities tend to revolve around being outdoors. On holidays I enjoy getting away from the city and heading to the Gulf Islands with my family where I enjoy paddle boarding and splashing around at the beach or getting out on the water for some fishing and crabbing. When this isn’t an option, I enjoy getting out of the house to walk the dog, working in the yard or heading to the park to toss a ball around with my kids.
