We are excited to announce that The Kip District Phase 2 Condominiums (at 30 Samuel Wood Way) and a new rental building named 20 Samuel Wood are now complete, offering a combined 519 new homes as a part of this transit-oriented, mixed-use master-planned community located in the Central Etobicoke neighbourhood.
The vision of The Kip District is taking shape. Three of the five towers are now complete, along with the central plaza creating natural gathering spaces that add to the expanding amenities in the area. Less than a five-minute walk to the Kipling Subway and GO Station, The Kip District easily connects residents to all parts of the GTA.
“We’re excited to contribute to the expansion of this vibrant neighbourhood in Etobicoke with our second condominium tower at The Kip District,” said Colleen Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer for Concert Properties. “Now completed, homeowners are moving into the 286 homes, and the community continues to come alive with activity.”
Residents also recently began moving into The Kip District’s first rental building. Of the 233 rental suites, 70 have been made available at non-market rates.
“Providing assured rental housing is one of Concert Properties’ commitments. We are proud to have partnered with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Open Door Housing Program at the City of Toronto to create affordable housing options for this growing community,” said Kerri Jackson, Senior Vice President of Property Development.
The third and final phase of The Kip District is currently in the planning stages with two towers — one condominium and one rental. At completion, this six-acre community will comprise approximately 1,300 residential suites within five towers.
