Concert was proud to be a silver sponsor of the “Hungry Hearts” fundraising event in Victoria. The event raised over $180,000 for Our Place Society, an organization dedicated to helping transform the lives of those living in poverty.
The sold-out event was held on Wednesday, February 25 and brought together renowned local chefs to compete in a culinary challenge where attendees were able to savour gourmet creations and bid on silent auction items. In addition to being a sponsor of the event, Concert staffed and ran the silent auction component.
Our Place is an inner-city community centre serving Greater Victoria’s most vulnerable: working poor, impoverished elderly, mentally and physically challenged, addicted and the homeless. The organization serves over 1,200 meals per day, and provides hot showers, free clothing, counseling and outreach services as well as 45 transitional housing suites. Their mission is to provide a sense of hope and belonging to neighbours in need.
