Concert Pledges $1 Million to Support Skilled Trades at George Brown College

As part of Concert’s longstanding commitment to supporting trades training across Canada, the company initiated a scholarship program with George Brown College’s Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies (CCET) in Toronto in 2015.

On October 17, 2019 George Brown College announced Concert’s $1 million pledge to support CCET students who are registered full time in their first, second or third year of study.

The Concert Properties and Partners Award was created through the proceeds of Concert’s annual golf tournament attended by local and national building sector leaders. The funds raised are helping students explore a rewarding career in the trades, while helping to address skills shortages and investing in the future of our industry.

“As the construction industry sets its eye to the future, we recognize that we must pave the way and provide concrete leadership to ensure the sector’s longevity,” says Brian McCauley, Concert's President & Chief Executive Officer. “Concert’s partnership with George Brown College is designed to assist students in meeting the increasing costs of study in our field. It is my hope that by supporting trades talent today, we can help ensure the sector has the talent it needs in the future.”
