Concert partnered with Robert Half International this summer for a Dress for Success Suit Drive. Dress for Success Vancouver is a local group empowering women who are preparing to enter the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services, and skills development programs.
Concert employees donated five large bags full of new or nearly new women’s suits, blouses, shoes, handbags and jewelry to the suit drive. This initiative is different from other clothing drives because all the items collected are interview-ready. Volunteers at Dress for Success sort donations by size and type, and help women choose interview outfits.
“The right interview outfit can give anyone a boost of confidence,” says Jane Gorchkova, Human Resources Generalist at Concert. “Supporting this organization is a great way to remove barriers and empower women when they need it.” Founded in 1997 as an international not-for-profit organization, Dress for Success has served more than 1,000,000 women around the world.
“I’m pleased to see so many Concert employees involved and donating to the Dress for Success Suit Drive,” said Brian McCauley, President & CEO of Concert. “Encouraging and enabling more women to enter the workforce unlocks new talent pools, which is good for business and for our community.”
