On Friday, May 22 the “Concert Crushers” softball team faced off against other teams in the real estate industry through the BC Children’s Hospital’s annual Slo-Pitch tournament.
Let’s just say that both the RJ ‘C’Hawks as well as the Colliers Heavy Hitters both got the best of the Concert Crushers this year. Nonetheless, the Concert team played their hearts out, sustained only a few minor bumps and bruises along the way, and were successful in their fundraising. Thanks to the generocity of Ledcor who provided $3,000 in matching dollars on top of the $5,000 which the Concert Crushers raised, the team generated a total donation of $8,000 for a truly worthy cause. The 2015 Slo-Pitch tournament as a whole raised nearly $236,000 for BC Children’s Hospital – the Province’s only full-service, pediatric acute care hospital.
Given the stiff competition in this annual tournament, it is likely never too early to begin practicing for next year – the Crushers are eager for a rematch!
