Concert was extremely proud to have been the lead sponsor for the Union Gospel Mission’s (UGM) 15th annual Summer BBQ event.
On Saturday, July 20 nearly 100 Concert CommunityWorks volunteers helped serve over 4,500 meals to residents of Vancouver’s Dowtown Eastside in Oppenheimer Park. In addition to food, there was live music, a wheelchair repair station and a kid’s mini-carnival which included a bouncy castle, face painting, water fights, a myriad of games and cotton candy.
“We are fortunate to have employees that embrace our values and are willing to donate their time,” says Brian McCauley, President & COO of Concert Properties. “This very worthwhile event for the residents of the Downtown Eastside is one of the most important initiatives we could be part of.”
This initiative is the latest in a series of Concert CommunityWorks events which aim to make a difference within the communities where we live, work and build. To watch a short video which documents the day, click here.
