Giving back to the communities where we work, live and build is not just part of Concert’s corporate philosophy – it’s a value that is truly exemplified by our people.
Vancouver office staff member Mylene Giroux came up with the idea to hold a bake sale on October 17, 2016 and to donate proceeds to Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Over a dozen staff stepped up to help run the sale and donate delicious baked goods.
“Working at Concert inspires you to make a difference, however small, in the community,” says Giroux. “I’m incredibly proud to work with people who so generously donate their time, effort and funds to help others in need.”
A combination of bake sale proceeds and direct monetary donations from staff raised $676.95, which Concert matched for a total donation of $1354.00.
“We’re pleased to match the proceeds raised through the staff bake sale in support of the Vancouver Food Bank,” says Brian McCauley, Concert President and Chief Operating Officer. “We’re proud to see our staff take a lead in driving charitable initiatives and welcome the opportunity to support them.”
