"Canada 150" themed golf tournament raises over $300,000 for trades training across Canada

Concert’s annual golf tournament brings together industry partners to have fun and raise funds for trades training programs across Canada. Over two warm summer days in September, in Vancouver and Toronto, Concert’s golf tournament raised over $300,000.

Several trades training programs across the country will benefit from proceeds from this year’s tournament, including programs at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), George Brown College, Toronto’s Hammer Heads, and Vancouver Island’s Camosun College.

The “Canada 150” themed tournament featured fun activities along the course including Canadian trivia, guess that famous Canadian, and finish that lyric by a Canadian artist. There were even Canadian-themed snacks like “beaver tails” treats and poutine.

“Concert’s golf tournament, now in its 20th year, has cumulatively raised over $3 million toward trades training,” said Concert President and CEO Brian McCauley. “With the generosity of our industry partners and sponsors, this golf tournament helps the careers of skilled workers who are critical to our industry’s success. Concert is a Canadian company, and we are proud to raise funds directly benefitting programs across Canada.”

Thank you to all our generous 2017 sponsors!

The 2018 Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Vancouver and Thursday, September 13, 2018 in Toronto.
